Job Description:
This position will work closely with the site EHS Manager to ensure health & safety programs and management systems are in place and effective to minimize risk to Team Members, the environment, and the community. The position assists in ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations on environmental protection or occupational health and safety.
Key Tasks:
Develop and implement safety-related programs to minimize risk to employees, customers, and the environment.Develop and drive ergonomic improvement while keeping it aligned with other business objectives.Investigate accidents and specify corrective actions.Complete process safety reviews and develop recommendations for addressing process safety issues.Perform safety onboarding training.Deliver safety training and ensure compliance with all required safety training.Recordkeeping including training, incidents, SDSs, preventative maintenance, and environmental inspections.Recommend process and product safety features reducing Team Members' exposure to work hazards.Compile, analyze, and interpret KPIs and statistical data on occupational illnesses and accidents.Engage affected team members in collaboration for safety and long-term process improvements.Provide support to other departments, including process engineering, issuing safety guidance on projects.Assist in internal and external safety and environmental audits.All other duties as assigned.Critical Skills

Associate degree in relevant subject. Health & safety, technical, or engineering is preferred 3-5 years of work experience in HSEKnowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements and standards in their HSE discipline Experience with machine, crane, and forklift safetyErgonomics TrainingOSHA 30 TrainingProficient in Microsoft Office productsAble to walk and stand for much of the WorkdayAble to lift 40 poundsAnnual Salary Range: $60,000-$67,000Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant subject, technical or engineeringA minimum of 2 years of experience in safety process engineering in a continuous flow manufacturing environment.
