Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

Proctoring pasteurizing process of raw milk to begin the production process for the facility.Conduct mixer operation for products such as chocolate milk, teas, and drinks ensuring raw materials meet quality standards to produce finished products.Diagnose, service, and make repairs on pasteurizer sanitary equipment.Perform sanitary duties on equipment such as silos and slurries.Address leaks that occur in pumps, valves, or tanks from Raw Silo to Filler Flow Panels.Maintain compliance with HACCP, SQF, GMP plans and paperwork.Monitor butterfat results to see if specifications are being met and a high-quality product is being produced.Interact on a quarterly basis with state regulatory personnel to verify compliance of pasteurizing system.Responsible for maintaining the commitment to food safety and food quality in compliance with Weis Markets, DEP (Department of Environmental Protection), PDA, FDA and SQF etc.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no direct supervisor responsibilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

A high school diploma or greater is preferred. An understanding of food safety, food security, and general cleanliness is helpful.
