HTST Operator

What you will be doing:

The HTST Operator (pasteurizer) will operate the plant’s pasteurization and processing equipment to pasteurize milk and juice, process cultured products and blend juice products. The HTST operator will also be responsible for safely cleaning the equipment and ensure product quality. This position will also clean the HTST and pasteurizing area and adhere to the quality standards defined in the process control sheets. If you have a love of food, and a desire to bring that quality food to our customers, then we want to hear from you! 

Main responsibilities:

Our Union contract allows for a wide range of position movement for our Production Workers, in general. As a result, you may be asked, as often as from one shift to the next, to function within multiple areas/shifts. Here is a list of just some of the responsibilities that you may be asked to oversee on any given shift:

Work Safely and follow safe practices and rules Possess or obtain a pasteurizer’s license and any other training required of the job within three months of starting position Operate HTST equipment to process all of the plant’s products Ensure quality by strict adherence to the plant’s SOPs and SSOPs Perform all cleaning functions in HTST and at times in other areas Perform Sanitary Maintenance items Understand the need to be present at all times when the equipment is running Keep work area clean and neat at all times Comply with all 6S and HACCP requirements Train new employees as needed Any other job as designated by the Foreman or Supervisor

The targeted hourly pay rate range for this position is $31.47 per hour. Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement.

We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:

High School Degree or equivalent Experience working as an HTST Operator  Have sampler graders license or able to pass licensing exam  2 – 3 years of experience preferred
