Title: Human Capital Specialist [Hybrid] FLSA Status: Exempt Department : Human Capital (HC) Reports To: EVP & Chief Human Capital & Compliance Officer (CHC/CO) Direct Reports: None Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000 per year About Win: Win is a leading provider of shelter, supportive housing, and innovative programs for families with children experiencing homelessness, in New York City. We are seeking dedicated individuals who share our mission to end homelessness and provide families with the innovative support they need to secure permanent housing. Purpose of the Opportunity: We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and dynamic Human Capital Specialist to support our Chief Human Capital & Compliance Officer (CHC/CO). The selected candidate will work directly with the CHC/CO to meet the day-to-day administrative needs of the HC executive office. The candidate must be a self-starter who displays great attentiveness to detail and be highly organized. They must have the ability to develop a trusting relationship with the CHC/CO and display confidentiality. The Human Capital Specialist must work extremely well with others and demonstrate discretion in solving complex administrative matters. Some key responsibilities in this role include multitasking, managing schedules/correspondence, organizing meetings and responding to urgent requests. We require someone who has a roll-up-your-sleeves mentality who is proactive and resourceful. This candidate must be SHRM certified. Key Accountabilities Office Administration: + Serve as an advocate for the CHC/CO to ensure successful performance of the overall department. + Serve as the point of contact for handling incoming calls and requests for information from both internal and external sources, including the executive suite, Board members and employees. + Fulfill requests and display critical thinking in helping to resolve employee concerns brought to the attention of the CHC/CO. + Coordinate preparation of Board materials for HC Compensation Committee and DE&I Committees. + Track expenses and perform record keeping against the departmental budget. + Manage a fluid calendar and ensure all applicable background/documentation is available. + Coordinate and execute meetings, appointments, reservations, and videoconferences that require prioritization and sound discretion. + Review and process all routine and non-routine departmental documents for signature approval by the CHC/CO. + Assist with the creation of presentations and reporting. + Develop and regularly update databases, spreadsheets, files, etc. + Make travel arrangements; prepare itineraries and agendas. + Support the execution of other activities upon request. + Engage in special projects which may include a variety of operational tasks, such as budgeting and forecasting, project management, team events, preparing organizational charts, etc. + Display flexibility in handling tasks given assigned to the CHC/CO with time-sensitive expectations. Professionalism & Customer Service: + Support the values of the organization by presenting oneself with a high level of professionalism. + Display excellent customer service skills when dealing with both internal and external stakeholders, employees, customers and clients. + Show knowledge of how the different divisions within Win function and partner with executive leadership to achieve the strategic objectives. + Demonstrate suitable understanding and good judgment to employees and managers when interpreting Win’s policies and procedures. Qualifications: + Commitment to Win’s vision, mission, and values. + BA/BS required in a Human Resources related field. + Minimum of five years of Human Resources experience in a complex organization. + Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and outstanding ability to interact effectively with management team and staff. + Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, including an ability to resolve disputes and maintain confidentiality; must have a high level of personal and professional integrity and emotional intelligence required. + Continuously and proactively remain abreast of the latest Human Resources knowledge through on-the-job engagement, self-study, and other intentional learning. + Must have excellent Microsoft Suite skills, including Excel. ADP, SmartSheets and SharePoint a plus. + Must possess strong multi-tasking capabilities and be willing to take a hands-on and proactive approach to problem-solving. + High level of integrity in dealing with highly confidential documents and situations. Essential Functions: + Must be able to multi-task and pay close attention to detail. + Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Must be able to sit at a computer for most of the workday.
