Human Dimension Course Coordinator - School of Medicine

The Hackensack Meiridan School of Medicine is hiring for a **Human Dimension Course Coordinator.** In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the Human Dimension course. You will work closely with course directors, medical students, and Community Programs Team to operationalize the course and manage the daily activities of those participating in the course. Human Dimensions is a unique 3 year course where medical students will be immersed in communities and linked to families. The goal is to develop a longitudinal relationship in order to better understand the human dimensions of an individual's health experience. The course content will be integrated with all other elements of the SOM's curriculum, and will bring to life the many determinants of health. To learn more about the Human Dimensions course, you can view our Hackensack Meridian School of Medicinewebsite here (https://www.hmsom.edu/en/education/curriculum/human-dimension-overview#:~:text=The%20Human%20Dimension%20is%20at,%2C%20economic%2C%20and%20environmental%20determinants.) . **Responsibilities** A day in the life of a **Human Dimension Course Coordinator** at **Hackensack Meridian** **_Health_** includes: + Support in the development, implementation, monitoring, and enhancement of all operational elements of the HD course across all three phases. + Develop, implement, and manage student-family assignments, student small group assignments, student schedules, faculty schedules, and special events. + Assist in ensuring implementation, adherence, monitoring, and continuous improvement of all policies and procedures related to the course, including those regarding safety and operations. + Provide support to over 35 clinical faculty teaching in the course, including onboarding, scheduling, and individual meetings based on need. + Support Human Dimension Community Engaged Master Educator program and delivery. + Integrate Human Dimension program curriculum and administrative needs into overall SOM curriculum + Supervise HD and Community Program's team administrative assistant position as applicable + Process evaluation reports according to the SOM's Curriculum Management Plan and related SOM policies -as related to students, faculty, other partners, and the course generally. + Participate in SOM related activities, including serving on curriculum operations and other committees, participating in the SOM's Curriculum Management Plan development, participation in accreditation-related activities, and other duties as needed. + Other duties and/or projects as assigned. + Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior. **Qualifications** **Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:** + Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Business Administration or related field. + Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience. + Microsoft Office suite skills essential. + Ability to draft own documents. + Attention to detail and ability to multitask is essential.
