Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2025 Intern Human Factors Design Engineer. In this role, you will assist in the design of cockpit interfaces, assess human performance in the cockpit environment using subjective measures as well as physiological monitoring technologies, and collaborate with cross-functional specialties including crew station design, operations analysis, aircraft pilots, and other technical experts. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of human factors, aviation operations, human physiology, and mechanical design.
Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
-Pursuing a Master's degree from an accredited college in Human Factors, Industrial Engineering, Human Systems Engineering or related technical field.
-Bachelor's degree from accredited college in biomedical, Human Factors, industrial or related field.
-Experience conducting Human Factors assessment, such as usability, situational awareness, workload, etc
- Must be a US Citizen.; This position will require a government security clearance.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
-Basic knowledge of aerospace product development
-Familiarity with Human Machine Interfaces in Aviation
-Familiarity with aviation operations
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
