Position Responsibilities:

Coordinates program, course, and class scheduling

Maintains records of laboratory

Collects and  analyzes data for evaluation and revenue purposes.

Works closely with Medical Simulation Director, other faculty, and hospital staff  from various departments to integrate the Human Patient Simulators into the learning strategies and assessment process of their program curriculums. 

Actively contributes to the development, conduction, and evaluation of simulation-based courses with particular emphasis on creating and coordinating life-like scenarios and props to support the achievement of these learning objectives.

Leads or participate in leading post-simulation small group learning sessions for debriefing, and encourages self-assessment and reflection

Conducts mobile simulation based training which may involve travel.

Makes recommendations for budget and purchases of equipment, supplies and materials; assures and maintains all simulation and audio/video equipment in good working order 

Supervises custodial personnel or others assigned to assist in maintaining the laborator

Participates in product-specific vendor training and in maintaining the technical expertise required to effectively manage the lab and facilitate it

Represents Mount Sinai Medical Center at users' group meeting and other relevant organizational meetings at the local, state, and national level

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in biological/physical science,computer/info tech or nursing     

Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical patient-care experince.

Prior teaching experience preferred.
