Human Relations Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY: The Human Relations Coordinator (HRC) is responsible for assisting the Store Manager in staffing and recruitment, onboarding new associates, cascading information throughout the store in relation to benefits, job postings, and internal messaging. The HRC is a resource for the store’s associates, as well as support for the day-to-day operations of the retail location.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Walk the store daily, i.e. make contact with and be available to all associates working.Coordinate Claude Varney Awards Program for store locationFacilitate birthday and retirement recognition of associates, report to the Store ManagerMaintain all state and federal required postings on Human Resource’s Bulletin BoardMaintain minor files, check for daily/weekly complianceMaintain local school calendars to prevent violationsAssist with maintaining Kronos Time-Keeping attendance system, and serve as store specialist for all questions and concerns related to the timekeeping system.Update attendance, tardiness occurrences report and review with Store Manager for policy violations.Review Food Safety exception reports, cover with Store ManagerFacilitate the review processFill out Worker’s Compensation and General Liability forms.Order uniforms and maintain inventory.Coordinate School Bucks Program.Maintain information security in the back office, doors locked if associate is not present.Attend and assist the store manager in preparing for department head meetings.Gather and distribute information to Safety Committee.Ensure that Personal Automobiles Used for Business Purpose form is completed by appropriate associatesFlexible schedule based on the needs of the store.Any day the Human Relations Coordinator is interviewing, hiring, or training, the schedule will reflect the times candidates are available. Example: Students may not be available before 4:00 p.m.Actively participates in Associate Engagement Activities to include, but not limited to Associate Engagement Budget (shared with Store Manager), SharePoint postings, and store-centric huddlesFacilitates and coordinates Associate of the Month/Year awards process.Other duties as assigned by Store Manager.
