THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position enforces the provisions of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act by investigating and conciliating complaints of discrimination primarily in employment and public accommodations alleged to have occurred because of a protected class such as race, color, sex, national origin, ancestry, religious creed, age, familial status, disability, and/or retaliation. As a Human Relations Representative 3, you are responsible for supervising, in a regional office, lower-level Human Relations Representatives engaged in conducting investigations of alleged discrimination complaints against individuals or minority groups in employment, education, housing, or public accommodation; or who are responsible for implementing education, community service, housing, or workforce programs designed to promote ethnic integration in all parts of the community and educate the general public against prejudice.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment.
+ Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
+ Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Pittsburgh.
+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ One year as a Human Relations Representative 2 (commonwealth title);or
+ Three years of professional administrative investigative, criminal investigative, regulatory investigative, or civil or human rights experience involving the gathering of evidence, interviewing, and reporting investigative findings; and a bachelor’s degree that includes 12 credits in human resources, labor management relations, civil rights, social work, social justice, public policy, public administration, or a related field;or
+ An equivalent combination of training and experience, that includes 12 college credits in human resources, labor management relations, civil rights, social work, social justice, public policy, public administration, or a related field.
