Job Title: Human Resources Lead - Manufacturing

General Function:
Human Resources Lead will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources of the Human Resources (HR) department including HR business partnership with operations leadership team, hiring, and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and creating/enforcing company policies and practices. This individual will be responsible for leading a team within the human resources department.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
Provides support and guidance to HR Generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Analyze and trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains a positive attitude; creates an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork.
Makes payroll adjustments including extra bonuses, missed pay raises, etc. and sends to payroll.
Provides department heads and management with standard reports.
Dispenses paychecks, W-2’s, Trust Fund/401(k) reports end employee income and benefits reports and other company and center’s communications (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.)
Prepares employee wage and employment verifications, as well as disability claims, leave of absence requests and extensions.
Records and follows up on Workers Compensation claims and issues and fills out accident reports on customers, both property damage and personal injuries.
Schedules employees as needed, honors employee time off requests and replaces employees who call in.
Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress code.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in other areas of the center as needed.
Performs other job related duties and special projects as required.
Coordinates employee meetings as needed.
Coordinates events
Coordinates center’s Service Award program for all employees.
Orders supplies for office
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Instructing, assigning work, reviewing work, planning the work of others, maintaining standards, allocating personnel and coordinating the activities of others.
Selects new employees and acts on employee problems.
Has the authority to recommend and approve employee transfer, promotions, discipline, discharge and salary adjustments.

Physical Requirements:
Must be physically able to perform light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.
Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision and field of vision.
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.
Working Conditions:
This is a fast paced work environment and will require some pressure to meet deadlines. This position could involve exposure to dirt, noise, temperature extremes, dampness, vibrations, equipment movement hazards and cleaning chemicals/solvents.
