Position Summary
Seeking an experienced, full time, HR/Administrative Assistant to join our team! This position will perform human resources and administrative functions in order to drive company success.
Responsibilities: Provide ongoing assistance to Human Resources by performing such tasks as data entry, maintaining personnel filing, updating employee directory and other administrative tasks as assigned.Payroll back up to cover vacations.Coordinate employee recruitment efforts to include sourcing candidates, pre-screening, and scheduling drug screens & physical appointments.Provide onboarding support by performing such tasks as: employee reference checks, creating employee files, creating new hire orientation material, and other tasks as assigned.Maintaining accurate training records to ensure employees are compliant.Ensure accuracy of filing systems, files, forms, etc. to support Human Resources functions.Assist department in carrying out various Human Resources programs and procedures. Maintain employee confidence and trust by keeping HR information confidential.Coordinate lunches, training and service awards celebrations.Responsible for any other special projects to assist leadership.Assist with daily telephone coverage.Perform all other office duties as assigned.Education and Experience Required: Associates degree required2-3 years’ experience in the HR field or related experience and/or training in similar environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office – primarily Excel and WordExposure to UKG/Kronos and Workday software a plusAbility to work well with othersReliable problem-solving abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detailStrong organizational skills and ability to multitaskA member of the S&P 500 Index, Martin Marietta is an American-based company and a leading supplier of heavy building materials – including aggregates, cement, ready-mixed concrete and asphalt.
