With a strong focus on future growth we are now looking for a People & Culture Business Partner to join the team in our Chicago support office. This exciting new addition to our team, will be responsible for delivering a full cycle of HR services by partnering with the People & Culture department as well as the broader business on organizational development and employee relations that support the business vision, strategic plan, and operations in order to ensure the company effectively engages, develops and retains employees.
Your daily fun will consist ofo Providing best practice advice on Employee Relations & Industrial Relations; Onboarding and Exit; Recruitment and Organizational Developmento Mentoring and guiding department leaders on employee engagement strategies and retention effortso Presenting in front of groups and conducting training sessionso Organizational Development; Work with Director of P&C and stakeholders to ensure effective workforce planning processes and practices are in place. o Assisting in preparing new hire orientation and benefit packets and related communications materialso Rumuneration & Benefits; Assisting in administration of the compensation program by monitoring the performance appraisal process o Project Management, Process Improvement & Reporting; Actively measusuring exit to appropriately tackle turnover and provide meaningful retention strategies and analysis of recruitment practiceso Ensuring compliance with federal/state/local regulatory standards governing pre-employment practiceso Recruitment; work with the recruitment to support the recruitment function in USo Supporting other functions as required
The ideal people guru will haveo 6 - 12 years’ experience in a HR role including resolving complex employee relations issues and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Law, Psychology, Business or Organizational Development.o Workday Experience o Broad knowledge and experience in recruitment, employment law, Industrial instruments, organizational development, employee relations and developmento Exhibit knowledge of hiring practices, behavioral-based interview techniques, tracking processes for applicants and open positions, and recruiting metricso Well-developed communications skills with the ability to relate effectively with a wide range of people, positively influencing outcomes and obtaining cooperationo Well organized with the ability to plan work, cope with conflicting work pressures, establish appropriate priorities, and meet deadlineso Has a sense of humor, is self-confident and a highly energetic, creative thinkero Has the ability to maintain confidentialityo Has a high skill level in customer service and teamworko Excellent level of computer literacy (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
