Ford and SK On are investing billions in Kentucky and Tennessee including building three state-of-the art battery manufacturing facilities between the two campuses at BlueOval City in Tennessee and BlueOval SK Battery Park in Kentucky. These brand-new advanced manufacturing facilities will use Ford’s 100-years of automobile manufacturing expertise and SK On’s 30+ years of electric vehicle battery expertise to become the world’s best battery manufacturer.
The Human Resources Business Partner at BlueOval SK – BlueOval Battery Park in Glendale, Kentucky will have a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a key member of the start-up team, launching the facility from the ground up.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Encouraging an effective, inclusive work culture at BlueOval SK, balancing employee advocacy with stewardship of company mission, vision and valuesBuilding strong relationships with operations partners, HR colleagues, and other business partners to jointly deliver strategic objectives and resolve issuesLeading HR efforts related to investigations, governmental inquiries / charges, problem resolution, performance and absence management, complaints of unfair employment practices / discrimination, and disciplinary actionCoaching, counseling, and educating salaried operations partners on HR policies, processes, programs and plansLeverages data and analytics to inform a point of view, and create actionable insights in support of strategic people prioritiesManaging personnel relations, and safety, health and environment activities as requiredUses human-centered design & empathy to inform decisions and create products and services that improve the employee experienceSupporting recruitment, onboarding, payroll, training, projects, data analysis, and other HR functions as requiredWorks collaboratively in a team environmentMinimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related HR field or equivalent years’ experience3+ years of HR experience in a combination of the following areas: employee relations, employee engagement, coaching and development, talent management, conflict resolution, data analysis, DEI, succession planning, business consulting, compensation and rewards, talent acquisition, and organizational development and designStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and other technology and tools that support collaborationPreferred Requirements:
Master’s degree or MBA with a concentration in HR or a related fieldExperience with high-performing projects or teamsExperience with delivering HR process improvement actionsDemonstrated conflict management skillsProven team player with excellent verbal and written communication Attention to detail and ability to think strategically Intellectual curiosity and strong creative problem-solving abilitiesAction-oriented with a focus on calculated risk-taking, speed and simplicityKnowledge of employment lawAbout BlueOval SK
