Could you be the full-time onsite Human Resources Business Partner in Plattsburgh, NY, US we’re looking for?

 

As an Human Resources Business Partner, you will support the Plattsburgh, New York manufacturing facility to shape and deploy the business goals as defined by the management team.  This position will be based in Plattsburgh, NY and will be required in office Monday through Friday.


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive human resources expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated, strategic, and collaborative teammates. You'll support the implementation of business goals through exceptional people management skills and HR interventions. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including Organizational Capabilities, Talent Management, and Labor and Employee Relations), deploy the site People plan, and much more.

We’ll look to you for:

Analyzing the current organizational capabilities to deliver the business strategy and will identify and act on gaps versus required capabilities;,

Being responsible to support the Business Leaders in all talent activities to ensure the right talent in the right place at the right time. Coach leaders on using the talent-related tools, support elements, and how to act as "talent champion";,

Supporting talent reviews, competencies assessment, identification & mobilization of high potentials, performance management and improvement, action plan per individual, resources & succession planning, recruitment, orientation, exempt/nonexempt personal and redeployment of people;,

Supporting the development of leadership on-site, so that management deliver on their commitments, mobilize people and teams; and drive strategy while acting as per The Code of Ethics;,

Supports Labor relations within the business. 

Leveraging good practice, share knowledge and experiences, avoid duplications but customize current tools and programs, connect with HR Ops to ensure this interface is efficient and effective;,

Administration of FLSA testing and review of qualifications with job descriptions of all positions;,

Ensuring legal compliance with all local state and federal employment laws, including but not limited to FLSA, FMLA, ADAAA to minimize risk/exposure to the organization;,

Supports Employee Relations forthe Plattsburgh site, coach Managers on performance issues, support investigations, conduct internal investigations as needed;,

Change programs, Organizational effectiveness, and development, High-Performance Culture, Bids & Project support are in scope;

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business, Psychology, or other relevant field,

Experience or understanding of complex employee relations and labor relations activities, 

Knowledge of HR and People Strategies, People Management,

Familiarity with the grievance process in a unionized environment,

Travel is limited (Montreal, QC, Hornell, NY only as needed) under 10%.

Certifications for Human Resources Professionals (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is an asset,

Experience with legal compliance in employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADAAA),

Proven track record in supporting talent reviews, performance management, and leadership development

Salary Range-  $81,500- $116,400 -$151,300
