Human Resource Business Partner-Tom Wood Group

 

Tom Wood Group located in Indianapolis, Indiana is growing, and we are looking for a passionate and driven Human Resources Business Partner to join our team! 

 

Responsibilities:  

Coach leaders and apply in-depth knowledge of human resources best practices to provide fair and consistent guidance and determine best solutions regarding policy interpretation, performance issues, workforce planning, change management, conflict resolution, etc., to ensure alignment and consistency across the company Collaborate with other business partners and managers to improve and build trusted relationships aimed at improving employee engagement and satisfactionIdentify high risk employees and high priority retention needsWork closely with managers to communicate and support company-wide initiatives to ensure employee needs are metMaintain friendly and professional open lines of communication with all employeesConduct regular, value-added, weekly site visits with all assigned locationsConduct thorough, objective, impartial investigations that are properly documentedEnsure all HR policies are consistently applied, and all HR processes are consistently followedUphold high standards of ethics and integrity in all HR activities and interactions, and serve as a positive ambassador for the company culture and valuesMaintain strict confidentiality regarding all matters relating to human resources and employeesIdentify training and development needs within assigned locations and collaborate with HR leadership to implement solutionsMaintain in-depth knowledge of HR legal requirements to ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations, as well as policies and proceduresAssist int he administration of employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, open enrollment, leave of absence, worker’s compensation, and othersConduct new hire orientation on a rotating basis with other HRBPsComplete all onboarding and offboarding activities for all employees at assigned locationsLearn and become a functional SME on assigned HR topics to provide back-up assistance for HR leadershipManage pay plans for all employees at assigned locationsWork closely with Talent Acquisition team to communicate needs and create hiring strategiesOther duties as assigned

Qualifications:  

Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.4+ years of human resources experience in a generalist or business partner roleAbility to maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of the role at all timesExperience with HRIS systems (ADP preferred)Detailed knowledge and application of Federal, State, and Local employment laws/ regulationsPolished communication, interpersonal, and presentation skillsAbility to build strong relationships with stakeholdersAbility to work independently and as part of a team to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesDemonstrated ability to work with senior leaders and influence decision makingAbility to travel within a 60-mile radius of office location to assigned locations on a weekly basisMUST have a valid driver’s license with a CLEAN record
