Human Resource Generalist

As an HR Generalist for Novolex, the successful candidate will provide support to the Human Resources Manager and the Human Resources Department.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

Act as point of contact for employees' questions and concerns. Recruit employees for all hourly positions. Welcome and onboard new hires. Complete assigned reporting functions involving attendance statistics, turnover ratios, termination, hire and transfer data, and other information assigned. Maintain time and attendance records in our timekeeping system. Payroll processing Assist in informing new employees of Human Resource policies and programs as needed. Perform general office support functions and assists area employees as necessary. Participates in GMP and food safety training. Follows GMP policy. Reports all food safety concerns with urgency. At least one year of related experience in a Human Resource position. Basic understanding of Human Resource functions and record keeping requirements. General knowledge of E-Verify, FMLA, ADAAA, and state laws. Strong Excel knowledge Spanish speaking ability strongly preferred

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required. At least one year of human resource management experience preferred.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities. \n
