The HR Manager position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business areas. The HR Manager will carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee and union relations; policy creation and implementation, interpretation and application, performance management; and talent management. The position develops partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the company.

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
Conducts and/or attends regular meetings with respective business leaders
Provides HR policy guidance, creation and interpretation
Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues Conducts, along with Compliance Manager and Legal, thorough and objective investigations
Provide approval and guidance in the day-to-day and overseeing of the Benefits team
Partner with Payroll and Benefits as needed to provide solutions
HR liaison with HRIS to ensure efficiency and effectiveness across business processes
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
Provide approval and guidance on day-to-day issues relative to I-9 documents; when and how to document, acceptable reason for leave
Research new state laws; required training; onboarding forms specific to the applicable state or county; leave laws, meal breaks, Ban the box, etc.

The position requirements include, but are not limited to:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in Human Resources
Demonstrated experience in Benefits – not administration of, but more in the day-to-day
Working knowledge of Workday and Dimensions
Minimum 5-10 years of Human Resource experience, but not limited to project management, employee and union relations, federal and state respective employment laws
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP preferred
Proven communication and collaboration skills
Excellent organization and project management skills
