Our Office in Bismarck, ND is hiring a Human Resource Manager.
**Job Summary:** Carries out professional-level human resources duties and collaborates closely with HR, Payroll, and Safety teams to support all functional areas, including employee relations, training, performance management, compensation, policy implementation and compliance, and safety. Some travel may be required to visit company locations and attend company meetings.
**Duties/Responsibilities:**
1. Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
2. Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.;.
3. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
4. Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
5. May assist with preparation of human resource reports such as attendance, new hire, and turnover reports.
6. May assist with limited payroll functions including, answering employee questions, processing paperwork for salary increases, job classification changes and other related matters.
7. Conducts or assists with new hire orientation and employee onboarding.
8. Coordinates with Corporate and Service Center Management to conduct investigations and maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to employment.
9. Maintains a thorough knowledge of FMLA and administers FMLA leave procedures.
10. Assists with managing ADA accommodation requests and engages in interactive process with employees to determine reasonableness.
11. Performs other projects and duties as assigned.
**Essential Functions:**
1. Must be able to sit or stand of extended periods of time.
2. Must be able to speak English proficiently.
3. Must have flexibility to shift/prioritize workloads as they change.
4. Frequent use of computer and telephone.

**Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:**
1. Proficiency in UKG Pro HRIS preferred.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
4. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
5. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
6. Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
7. Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and wage and hour laws and regulations.
**Required Education and Experience:**
1. At least three years of previous HR Manager experience.
2. Bachelor’s degree or four years of related work experience.
3. PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred.
