Visit our website at http:// www.rheinmetall-arv-us.com FLSA Status: Exempt Job Title: Human Resources Manager Department: Human Resources Summary Plans and implements strategy for HR management and development (including recruitment and selection policy/practices, discipline, grievance, counseling, pay and conditions, training and development, morale and motivation, culture, performance appraisals and quality management systems. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises employees in the Human Resource Department. Strategically carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. + Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. + Recruit, interview, assess, and select employees to fill vacant positions. + Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals. + Maintains records of benefits, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting. + Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment. + Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. + Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. + Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization. + Administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization. + Governs benefit programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance. + Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier. + Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations + Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover. + Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations. Education and/or Experience Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent and four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
