Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc., a privately-held company based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of HR Representative. This full-time position is located at Hobby Lobby’s corporate campus in Oklahoma City. This is an entry-level HR Position that supports the HR Specialists in addressing and resolving HR Issues.
This position will partner with HR specialists to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws by:Advising managers on appropriate action regarding personnel issues in accordance with federal, state and municipal laws and company policies.Responding to Unemployment claims and assisting with gathering documentation for hearingsFielding phone calls and emails from employees, analyzing the needs of the employee and either responding to the employee or referring the matter to an HR Specialist.Employment verifications & file requestsOther duties as assigned#ZR
The ideal candidate will possess the following experience, skills, and attributes: Basic knowledge of state and federal employment laws, including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and workers compensation; Critical thinking and analytical skills;Excellent written and oral communication skills;Positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and very effective in a team environment;Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (SAP experience a plus); Bachelor Degree (preferred).Schedule Requirements:Department hours are currently from 8:30am to 5:00pm, with ½ hour lunch, or from 8:00am to 5:00pm, with a 1 hour lunch.
