Human Resources – Asia Pacific Compensation, Vice President

This role will support the compensation strategy and execution for key businesses within the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) lines of business as well as contribute to the Asia-Pacific (APAC) Compensation Agenda. 

As an Asia Pacific Compensation, Vice President within Human Resources, you are a trusted compensation manager. You will provide strategic solutions and expert advice to the business and HR business advisors; combining in-depth knowledge of compensation principles, understanding of the business needs, market and regulatory landscape, and associated detailed analysis/models.

Job responsibilities:

Supporting end-to-end annual compensation planning via analytics, modelling and reporting Understanding business priorities and effectively diagnosing issues; providing clear advice and recommendations to help partners make informed and sound comp-related decisions  Simplifying and improving the way we do things with fresh ideas, strategy, design iteration and implementation to ensure our compensation programs, policies and processes align with business strategy, best practice and our risk and controls framework Advising on compensation related activities, including new hire offers, promotions, transfers, budget allocation/forecasting and top talent retention Participating in firm-wide projects involving compensation, including policy reviews, changes in compensation practices, and systems development Contributing to the APAC Compensation Agenda including regulatory and region-specific compensation activities Being part of a global team representing diversity of thought, experience and backgrounds who are committed, hard-working and growth oriented

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Minimum of 6 years of experience in a compensation/rewards role in HR within Banking or HR Rewards consulting industry; with strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills Demonstrated ability to research, analyze and interpret complex data sets with a high level of accuracy Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to convey a story through analysis and metrics Sound judgment and decision making The ability to exercise discretion in handling sensitive, confidential matters is paramount.  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and cultivate strong partnerships Exceptional systems skills; Advanced MS Excel and proficiency with other Microsoft applications required.  Business Objects preferred.
