Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HR Administrator to manage and support a variety of human resource functions within the organization. Acting as a liaison with key HR-related departments and stakeholders, this role will oversee HR processes, recruitment efforts, employee relations, and benefits administration while also supervising a Human Resources Assistant.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding
+ Coordinate and assist with recruitment efforts for both leadership and staff positions.
+ Prepare and manage necessary documentation, including requisitions, offer letters, appointment forms, and approvals.
+ Support new hire onboarding by managing credentialing, benefits documentation, and compliance.
+ Work closely with immigration partners for visa processing and recruitment ad placements as needed.
Employee Relations
+ Conduct investigations and address employee relations matters.
+ Support performance management processes, including coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
+ Collaborate with leadership to ensure resolution of workplace concerns and maintain open communication with the HR team to address issues.
Compensation & Benefits
+ Coordinate annual salary plans and assist with promotions, reclassifications, and pay equity reviews.
+ Maintain salary databases and ensure accurate documentation for pay differentials and employee changes.
+ Provide guidance on employee benefits and assist with periodic reviews and updates.
HR Operations & Compliance
+ Serve as an informational resource for HR policies, practices, and regulatory compliance.
+ Manage HR databases and systems to ensure accurate employee records, including payroll allocations and status updates.
+ Support grant-funded activities by providing budget and payroll data to investigators as required.
+ Oversee timekeeping and effort reporting processes for accuracy and compliance.
Leadership & Administration
+ Supervise and coach a Human Resources Assistant, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations.
+ Provide input on staffing needs and recommend hiring decisions for HR support roles.
+ Stay updated on evolving HR best practices and compliance requirements to optimize HR functions.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
+ At least 4 years of experience in HR administration, including 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
+ Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master’s degree in HR or a related field.
+ Extensive experience in progressively responsible HR roles, with prior exposure to employee relations and compensation analysis.
