Location Description Post Consumer Brands in Battle Creek, Mich., the cereal capital of the U.S., is the company's largest manufacturing plant and home to about 600 team members. When you join the team here, you'll be helping to produce some of the most iconic cereal brands, including Honey Bunches of Oats cereal, PEBBLES cereal, Grape-Nuts and Honeycomb cereal. The Battle Creek plant is also unique as it is home to the original barn where C.W. Post started the Postum cereal company in 1895. The Battle Creek team has deep community roots, supporting the city's Cereal Festival, local elementary schools, and hosting several on-site volunteer events throughout the year. Responsibilities The Human Resources Administrative Assistant helps support the Post Battle Creek HR team in day to day assignments as well as special projects. Job Duties: Provide Administrative assistance to members of the HR department, including but not limited to issuing communications, record keeping and filing, assist with payroll and scheduling administration, coordinating meetings and facilitating plant events. Track absenteeism and partner with HR Managers to facilitate attendance disciplinary process. Maintain HRIS system at employee and site level; including hiring and terminations, pay and job changes, report generations and assistance with payroll administration. Updates and maintain personnel files. Manage Uniform and Safety Shoe program for the plant. Assist with data entry in Timekeeping system. Partners with local and corporate HR to maintain communication program for the Battle Creek facility including AppleTV media, Redzone, email and hardcopy communications. Partner with HR team to support hiring initiatives. Responsible for ordering office supplies for Battle Creek Facility. Responsible for all inbound and outbound mail including the receipt and sorting of inbound mail, meter and process all outbound mail and monitor and replenish the postage meter as needed. Facilitation of Employee recognition program. Manage plant charitable giving program. Lead annual plant and community events processes, including planning, organizing and executing. Escort and direct office vendors on-site. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma required. BS in Business, Management, Human Resources or other related field preferred. Experience: Knowledgeable of legal requirements regarding disabilities and FMLA. Familiar with the company policies and the union contract. Excellent organizational skills Ability to work with confidential data Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member. Excellent oral and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) Proficiency with Ultimate Software and/or Kronos preferred. Working Location: Onsite
