Located in Dillon, South Carolina Wyman Gordon is a major industrial manufacturer serving a wide range of industries including aerospace, power generation, and industrial businesses. 

Position Summary:

Level 2: The Human Resources Administrative Assistant will perform the daily administrative and HR duties for Wyman Gordon Dillon. The HR Administrative Assistant will assist the HR Generalist and HR Manager with recruitment, record maintenance, benefit administration, assessment administration, new hire orientation, employee engagement etc.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Maintain records for training, continuing education, tuition reimbursement, and disciplinary documentation. Assists with the administration of FMLA and other leaves of absence. Participates in benefit administration to include new hire enrollment; open enrollment; change reporting. Prepares check requests for invoice review and approval. Participates in the recruitment of hourly; salaried non-exempt and exempt personnel to include posting positions; reviewing resumes / applications; scheduling interviews. Conducts new employee orientation; administers and / or schedules pre-employment assessments; conducts reference checks; requests background investigations; schedules pre-placement physicals. Assists in the exit interview process. Assists with employee events and employee engagement activities.Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements. Additional administrative tasks include, but not limited to: Communication Board updates, Birthday Cards, Purchase Requisitions, Organizational Announcements and Data Entry.Has responsibility for signing guests in at the front door.Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

Intermediate computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word, and ADP Applications). Experience with Workday is a plus.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, stay organized, and easily adapt to changing situations and priorities.Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal and leadership skills.Ability to professionally communicate and work cooperatively with othersAttention to detailBasic English language skills and the ability to read, follow, and interpret planning and work order instructionsWillingness to learnUS Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required due to government military contracts.                                                                     

Experience & Education

High school diploma or GEDWorking towards an Associate degree in Business or Human Resources preferred.

Working Conditions:

Exposure to indoor manufacturing environment Must be comfortable being in manufacturing environment, with exposure to moderate noise. Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes, odors, hot / cold temperatures, inside / outside noise vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces. Must be able to periodically support off shift for events as scheduled.   

Physical Requirements:
