Human Resources Assistant
Job Description:Provides on-campus HR support to faculty, students, staff, and visitors. Greets visitors and handles inquiries and/or refers to appropriate staff. Serves as back-up to support other HR staff members on leave, and other high-volume periods to ensure that needed assistance is provided.
Supports Assoc Dir, HR to track and process HWCOE Volunteer and Courtesy/Affiliate faculty appointments.
Communicates with the appropriate staff to properly update the HWCOE College Directory. Tracks and follows-up to ensure compliance with required training. Maintains the HWCOE HR intranet site to ensure information is current and accurate.
Assists with all aspects of bi-weekly payroll administration.
Other duties as assigned.
Expected Salary:$18.00-$21.00; commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Minimum Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent and three years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:Should possess excellent organizational skills.
Previous experience in Human Resources.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing.
Proficient in use of Windows-based personal computer, MS Word, Excel, electronic communication (email, etc.), internet.
