Control Point Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Human Resources Assistant in our Warren, NJ office. Essential Functions:
+ Support the hiring team with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding activities (incl. processing background checks, new hire info communication to the IT and Operations department).
+ Facilitate a smooth hiring process for both the hiring team and job applicants.
+ Research, source, and recruit candidates to widen the qualified applicant pool.
+ Review applicant resumes and pre-screen candidates to assess knowledge, skills and experience most suitable for open positions.
+ Database maintenance, upkeep and entry of candidate/employee information throughout the recruitment/hiring process and filing paperwork.
+ Assist with submitting online job postings and scheduling interviews.
+ Coordinate and implement college/high school recruiting initiatives.
+ Attend college/high school recruiting events (career and job fairs).
+ Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, social media, and employees.
+ Coordinating orientation and training sessions for new employees (setting up new hires in HSI online training platform).
+ Assist and sit in on new hire orientations to be able to fill in for HR Manager when needed.
+ Continuous employee follow-up as outlined in the 30, 60, 90-day employee onboarding process.
+ Assist with payroll processing duties.
+ Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Bachelor’s or associate degree in human resources or related field.
+ Prior related office experience preferred.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills, organized, and detail oriented.
+ Proficiency in administrative duties such as communications, data entry, and record keeping.
+ Tact and professionalism regarding confidential information and addressing employee concerns.
+ Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
+ Ability to pivot to changing situations and priorities.
+ Valid driver’s license.
