CTG's premier client has a contract assignment for a Human Resources Assistant I. Type: Contract Job Title: Human Resources Assistant I Location: Saginaw, MI Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Saginaw, MI Pay Rate: Based on experience Work Hours: M-F, 8am-5pm Education: High School Diploma required A successful candidate in this position will possess strong soft skills as well as: A self-motivated attitude and ability to prioritize tasks Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple responsibilities A positive and people-oriented approach to employee interactions Description: The Human Resources Assistant I will be responsible for providing support to the HR team, assisting with new employee hiring and onboarding, and helping with general administrative duties. This position will play a key role in ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and contribute to the overall efficiency of the HR department. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, self-starter with a strong ability to multitask and maintain a positive, welcoming environment for new employees. Job Duties: Conduct new hire orientations and provide a warm introduction to new employees Assist with onboarding tasks, including setting up workstations and ensuring system access Communicate with new hires about their start dates (approximately 50 employees per week during peak months) Provide administrative support to the training team as needed Assist with employee relations and respond to general employee inquiries Help with new hire paperwork, ensuring completion and accuracy Coordinate logistics for onboarding events, such as ordering food for orientation sessions Requirements: Education: High School Diploma required Qualifications: 1-3 years of experience as an HR assistant or in a similar administrative support role (HR experience preferred, but not required) Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times A positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to handle pressure and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Must be able to multitask and work independently without needing micromanagement Additional Information: No third-party resumes will be accepted Drug testing and/or other employment-related inquiries may be conducted CTG will consider for employment-qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of all applicable local, state, and federal laws All interested individuals MUST be able to work on a W2 tax basis (no C2C or third-party vendors) CTG is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer CTG is an E-Verify Company To be considered for this opportunity, please apply directly through our website by clicking the link below or email your Word version resume and salary expectations to Jamie.Robinson@ctg.com.
