Job Description
The Human Resources Assistant reports to the Human Resources Manager and performs a variety of general personnel/clerical tasks in areas such as employee records, benefits, education/training, employment, compensation, and equal employment opportunity. The Human Resources Assistant also supports the HR Generalist and the Benefits Analyst by handling clerical activities involved in various HR programs, including processing and filing documents, making calls, following up on outstanding items, and completing paperwork. Additionally, the role involves furnishing information to authorized persons and/or agencies in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
+ Perform general personnel and clerical tasks in areas such as employee records, benefits, education/training, employment, compensation, and equal employment opportunity.
+ Support HR Generalist and Benefits Analyst by processing and filing documents, making calls, following up on outstanding items, and completing paperwork.
+ Furnish information to authorized persons and/or agencies in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Essential Skills
+ Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office.
+ Adept at problem-solving, including identifying issues and resolving problems in a timely manner.
+ Strong interpersonal skills.
+ Clear communication skills, both written and oral, for effective interaction with employees, HR management team, and in group presentations and meetings.
+ Ability to effectively read and interpret information, present numerical data resourcefully, and skillfully gather and analyze information.
+ Ability to prioritize and plan work activities to use time efficiently.
+ Organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.
+ Dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and improve performance through management feedback.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
