Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Assistant to oversee and ensure smooth office operations, promoting cleanliness, safety, and organization. This role requires managing inventory, supplies, and equipment, as well as coordinating maintenance, repairs, and renovations as necessary. The successful candidate will develop and implement office policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
ResponsibilitiesAssist with recruitment and onboarding processes, including drafting job descriptions, posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.Facilitate new employee orientation, contributing to a seamless transition into the organization.Maintain accurate employee records, including personnel files, benefits enrollment, and time and attendance documentation.Provide support in employee relations, addressing concerns, and resolving conflicts promptly and professionally.Coordinate and administer employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management.Assist in performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and employee development initiatives.Stay informed about employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance in HR practices.Offer general administrative support to senior management and various departments, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating travel arrangements.Prepare and distribute internal communications, memos, and announcements.Support the preparation of presentations, reports, and other documents as required.Assist with budgeting and expense management for office and HR-related activities.Essential SkillsHuman resourcesOnboardingAdditional Skills & Qualifications2 years of office support experience1 year of HR experience (onboarding, employee relations, or benefits preferred)Experience in a manufacturing-like environment (rough around the edges)Work Environment
This position is fully onsite and will have a cubicle up front until the office moves to a new location. The company is experiencing rapid growth and has received substantial funding. The original owner is very involved and knows the entire team. There is potential for this role to evolve into an HR manager position in the future.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
