As a Human Resource Assistant with PCB Piezotronics, Inc., you will greet and direct visitors; route telephone calls to appropriate personnel. Provide administrative support to Human Resources department as well as managing leave of absences. Additional Duties: Promotes teamwork, cooperation and commitment to “Total Customer Satisfaction” among team members. + Provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department. + Responsible for receptionist duties, including answering/directing incoming calls and greeting visitors. + Properly sorts paychecks on a weekly basis for distribution to all companies. + Ensures interview paperwork is accurate and readily available for candidates, sends appropriate correspondence to applicants in a timely manner. + Back up for New Hire Orientation. + Responsible for creating ID Badges for employees, contractors, and visitors. + Provides administrative support to various departments (e.g., Accounting – Invoices). + Assists in coordinating company events (e.g., Employee picnic, Christmas Party). + Maintains accurate monetary records for various accounts (e.g., postage, event tickets). + Performs various clerical duties (e.g., sorting, filing, data entry). + Acts as the first point of contact for incoming leave of absence inquiries and familiarity of leave of absence options, as well as responding to emergency situations. + Manages and tracks the leave of absence claims throughout the claim lifecycle and partners with third party carrier to administer claims. + Communicates with employees and managers/supervisors about leave of absence status. + Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Education: + High School diploma or equivalent with additional specialized training. Experience: + A minimum of one to three years in an administrative support role; preferably in an HR Department. + Must be organized and able to function effectively in a multi-tasked environment. + Able to consistently maintain an outgoing, professional and pleasant phone personality. + Must have good interpersonal and organization skills. Must be service-oriented and able to maintain confidentiality. + Basic computer skills and familiarity with office machines is required. Preferred Qualifications: + Have the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. + Extensive knowledge of office management systems and procedures. + 2 years of experience as an HR assistant. + Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines. + Intermediate office and computer skills preferred.
