Human Resources Benefits Specialist
Description • Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. • Ability to recruit, interview, test, and select associates to fill vacant positions. Also coordinate and work with staffing agencies to recruit qualified hourly associates. • Ability to plan and conduct new associate orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals. Ability to answer detailed benefit questions, as well as Company background , policies, procedures, etc… • Capable of keeping records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, filing personnel records and terminations. • Able to handle highly confidential and personal associate information. • Can accurately and in a timely manner respond to inquiries regarding policies, and procedures. • Administers and keep track of benefit programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and associate assistance. At least 2 years of benefits experience. • Is capable of investigating accidents and preparing reports for insurance carriers. • Prepares associate separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews in absence of Human Resources Manager to determine reasons behind separation Skills Benefits administration, bilingual, payroll, Recruiting Top Skills Details Benefits administration,bilingual,payroll Additional Skills & Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
