Human Resources Business Partner
**Description** **About the Role:** The **Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)** is a multi-dimensional Human Resources professional possessing broad Human Resources experience, with the ability to build and foster valuable relationships with various business leaders at the local business unit level. Reporting directly to an Executive Human Resources Business Partner (EHRBP) and collaborating with the Business Partner Team, the HRBP supports management within business units with daily workforce activities, Human Resources programs, and initiatives. Also, the HRBP serves as the face of Human Resources for departmental managers and business managers. The Human Resources Department engages in a hybrid work schedule based on business needs with the possibility of working remotely two days per week. On-site work location consists of the Human Resources Department headquarters located in NYC and client-based locations at various NY and NJ facilities in the NY Metro area. **Responsibilities:** Within a challenging, inclusive, and customer-centric work culture, the HRBP will serve as the first point of contact for assigned client groups partnering with the EHRBP, front line Managers and Supervisors to provide assistance and resolution to various Human Capital needs. The HRBP will leverage relationships with HR functional partners such as Talent Acquisition, Talent Strategies, Employee Relations, HR Analytics, and other HR functions to provide clear direction and support to assigned clients on a variety of daily operational matters. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: + Provide strong client service orientation, with an ability to effectively respond to the concerns and day-to-day business needs of various clients in a timely and accurate manner. + Manage HR administrative transactions (i.e., job reclassifications, promotions, compensation assessments) for client groups. + Serve as a super-user for PeopleSoft, Visier and other HR Systems. + Understand and interpret HR policies, with the ability to provide guidance and appropriate recommendations to client groups. + Assist assigned clients with identifying staffing issues, talent needs and trends and provide guidance around effective decision-making strategies, while driving the agency’s initiative around creating and maintaining a diverse workforce. + Partner with EHRBP to lead ongoing talent review processes; assess and identify high performing/high potential leaders; ensure succession and development plans are in place. + Support the EHRB with performance management programs and assist with employee relations matters. + Analyze data and complex information from a wide range of sources (both internally and industry data) to inform decisions about Human Capital initiatives and programs. + Support BP unit project management, ensuring timely execution and alignment with business needs to drive successful implementation of key HRBP initiatives. **Minimum Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business or a related field with a minimum of three (3) years of experience working in partnership with business unit managers in a day-to-day, operational, generalist Human Resources capacity **_OR_** in lieu of a degree, candidates with a minimum of five (5) years experience working in partnership with business unit managers in a day-to-day, operational, generalist Human Resources capacity. **Desired Qualifications:** + Possess a broad HR background and expertise across a variety of functional areas including Performance Management, Organization Design and Development, Talent Planning and Development and Employee Relations. + Ability to influence and drive results within Human Resources and the Business Unit. + Demonstrated ability to think critically and develop creative and innovative recommendations and decisions. + Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, coordinate, and drive projects to completion while collaborating with cross-functional teams. + Outstanding interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including experience interacting effectively with staff at all levels to achieve mutually desired outcomes. **Selection Process:** The application process varies by position but typically includes an initial phone interview for qualified candidates, followed by a more in-depth interview(s) and/or assessment(s).
