This role reports to the Senior Director, HRBP We are seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to work in California. This role is in-person as needed in our treatment programs/facilities, primarily located in LA County - but will also require regular travel to our programs in Lafayette, CA and Yorba Linda, CA. Responsibilities Include: Work as part of a national human resources team, developing and leading strategy and communications specific to our employee programs, and providing HR support and guidance for Monte Nido leaders and team members in California and virtually. • Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with program and regional leadership to provide HR guidance, advise on employee matters, and analyze employee and talent-related metrics. • Lead and drive forward employee lifecycle and employee engagement programs to support the retention, development, engagement, and satisfaction of our employees while sustaining a safe, inclusive, and growth-oriented professional environment. • Guide managers on recurring performance management processes, related to goal setting, feedback, assessment, corrective actions, promotions, and compensation and rewards. • Provide guidance on staffing structures, workforce planning and workload modeling, succession planning and training and development needs for employees and management. • Analyze data to identify trends and inform decision-making processes and understand and report on key HR metrics such as turnover, employee satisfaction, and engagement. • Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters, strategies, guidance, and resolutions. • Partner with employees and management to communicate various human resources policies, programs, procedures, and regulations. • Provides support and guidance to our HR Operations team, and the roll out of employee programs (e.g., performance management, compensation), and the Talent Acquisition team specific to the company’s recruitment and onboarding needs. • Ensures compliance with training and related requirements as determined by the company, federal, state, and local licensing and regulatory bodies, including The Joint Commission. • Prepare for Department of Mental Health, State, and Joint Commission surveys by auditing personnel files, tracking training, and working with managers and employees to remedy any missing documentation or other gaps. • Applies advanced knowledge HR policies and practices in California, including labor laws, wage and hour laws, overtime, meal and rest periods, sick leave, safety standards, and minimum wage requirements. Stay informed on changes to state and federal laws affecting policies and procedures. • Work with Learning & Development to assist in the design, implementation, and facilitation of training programs aimed at improving employee performance, enhancing skills, and ensuring regulatory compliance. • Complies with federal, state, and local law and healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA, etc.) and laws and according to Company guidelines. Provides guidance on these rules to managers and employees in collaboration with the Company’s Legal and Compliance teams. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in a human resources, business, or related field and minimum five years' experience in human resources or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Multistate HR healthcare experience strongly preferred – California experience required. • SHRM-CP, SPHR, or PHR preferred • This role is in-person as needed in our treatment programs/facilities, primarily located in LA County - but will also require regular travel to our programs in Lafayette, CA and Yorba Linda, CA. \#montenidoaffiliates
