Human Resources Business Partner - Talbert House

Position Summary: Provides specialist coaching, support and influence to enable leadership to effectively manage and develop their employees. Delivers best practice and flexible HR solutions that support the agency needs while ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. Serves as an expert representative for the agency. 


Position Description:

Equip assigned service lines with appropriate tools and knowledge to effectively manage and develop staff (performance management, absence management, employee relations, etc.). Drive, influence, consult and support all aspects of organizational change, structure, people processes and business improvement initiatives to ensure agency success.Work with executives/senior leaders to anticipate opportunities to influence and lead change that will improve individual and team performance.Assist with interpretation of applicable policies and procedures and ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules and policies Review, document, and communicate sensitive information in confidential and professional manner Acts as a single point of contact for employees and managers in assigned service lines.Conducts and manages complex employee relations issues; including investigation and employee grievances.Actively identifies gaps and inconsistencies and proposes/implements changes necessary to mitigate riskPartners with recruiters to ensure culture and talent fit Acts as a performance improvement driver and provokes positive change in talent management for assigned service linesUtilize data analytics to monitor retention and analyze turnover trends within service lineOther duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to utilize technology to manage data and assist in communicationExcellent organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills with effective interpersonal skillsAbility to problem solve and multi-task Knowledge of fundamental HR principles including compensation, organizational development, employee relations, performance management and federal/state complianceStrong customer service skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and demands effectivelyAbility to work collaboratively in a wide variety of settingsKnowledge of specific areas of focus (behavioral health, corrections, housing) as applicableAbility to handle sensitive inquiries and information in a confidential and professional mannerAbility to interface professionally with funder/referral sources and executive/board of trustee leadership


Job Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related Minimum 3 years of progressive human resources experienceHR certification preferred (SPHR/PHR or SHRM-SCP/CP)Valid drivers license and current auto insurance
