Job Title: Human Resources Coordinator
Department: Admin
Reports to: HR Director
Exempt Status: Hourly (non-exempt)
A human resources coordinator’s role is to facilitate HR functions and programs, including:
Answering phones, employee requests and overall questions Maintaining personnel records and conducting employee orientations, maintaining attendance line and attendance records, and administering other employee programsCoordinating companywide training effortsMaintain office cleanliness and inventory Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Bilingual English/Spanish or English/CreoleExcellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Working understanding human resource principles, practices and procedures.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:At least two years’ related experience preferred. Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Work Environment:
Regularly work inside an office environment. Fast paced environment with occasional high-pressure situations. A considerable amount of time is spent working/sitting in front of computer. Generally, work regular business hours, however they will also be expected to work overtime to meet project deadlines.
