Human Resources Coordinator

Job Description

Timmons Group is seeking a full time HR Coordinator in our Richmond, VA office. The key responsibility of the Human Resources Recruiting Coordinator is to assist in all human resources related activities, as well as in the development and implementation of programs, processes and procedures.  The Human Resources Coordinator will perform a variety of administrative functions in support of the human resources department which include playing a key role in recruitment and employee onboarding.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Conducts daily new applicant resume review and distribution, pre-screening incoming applications to determine if applicant meets the minimum qualifications of the position for which they applied (or possibly other positions within the company), forward only qualified candidates for initial review to the appropriate hiring managerConducts daily follow up on candidates in review, interview or offers stagesCommunicates with hiring managers to thoroughly to understand their hiring needs and to develop a recruiting strategy to source both active and passive candidatesUpdates ATS, hiring worksheet and various job posting sites as positions are opened and closeUtilizes social media to consistently promote job opportunities and Timmons Group cultureProduces video content to promote company culture and employment opportunitiesWorks with hiring managers to vet each candidate and keep the hiring process moving along in a timely mannerResponds to hiring manager requests for interview by contacting candidate, completing initial phone screen and if appropriate, works to schedule candidate for interview at earliest possible time and makes travel arrangements if neededParticipates in interviews as neededCoordinates with new hires and hiring managers to complete employee onboarding processesAssists with new hire orientation and benefits overviewDemonstrates unrivaled customer service to all firm’s leadership, candidates and vendorsWorks toward ensuring a great experience for each candidate regardless of the ultimate hiring decisionConsistently works to think of new ways to improve existing processes and breathe new life into recruiting practices with the goal of attracting the best candidates for the firmCompletes career fair registration, preparation and attendance as neededPrepares and extends offersCommunicates with Marketing as needed for design and updating of recruiting collateralEnsures recruitment process is in compliance with all federal and state laws and supportive of our written Annual Affirmative Action PlansAssists in creating and editing job descriptionsPerform other human resources and recruiting tasks and special projects as neededAssists with coordination of company events as neededAssists with special projects and recruitment as needed

Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

High school diploma or equivalentBachelors Degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business or related field preferredOne to two years of administrative support or human resources experienceKnowledge and successful application of Microsoft office applicationsExperience using Smartsheet, Adobe Suite (Premiere, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.), Wordpress, Canva, LinkedIn Enterprise strongly preferredExcellent presentation, written communication, planning and organization skillsExceptional attention to detailAbility to influence and drive results in a fast-paced environmentAbility to anticipate, as well as demonstrate and possess a high level of creativity, adaptability and initiative
