Position Summary:

The Human Resources Coordinator is part of the Prairies Human Resources Team, supporting the Calgary division in the areas of administrative HR support including, but not limited to onboarding, benefits and wellness administration, company communication, coordination of company events, and additional project support for the team.

Note: This is a 18-month contract position, starting in February 2025. The position requires a successful candidate to be in the office 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Enters data into HR systems, maintain HR files and records, produces HR reports

Coordinates details, logistics, communication and execution of various events including training, wellness, orientation, open enrollment, fairs, and other divisional HR events

Schedules meetings, assists with and directs incoming questions from employees

Facilitates onboarding of new employees 

Works collaboratively with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers on recruitment needs

Conducts payroll support activities

Supports internal communication

Participates in the planning and implementation of special projects and initiatives

Participates in the Prairies Engagement Committee

Advises and assists managers and employees on interpretation and administration of company policies and programs 

Coordinates with disability management

Ensures regulatory compliance with Employment Standards and legal requirements

Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge of or ability to learn HRIS, applicant tracking software, Electronic Filing software and other HR systems

Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of Google Applications

Flexible schedule, this position is based on-site
