Human Resources Data Analyst
**Some of what you'll be doing:** As a Human Resources (HR) Data Analyst, you will manage concurrent and complex analytical HR projects using multi-dimensional datasets for projects and output for Port-wide audiences. You will utilize analytics, data mining, and statistical modeling programs and provide a visualization of HR data through dashboards for internal and external use. + You will utilize data visualization tools such as Tableau, to create clear and engaging visualizations from raw data such as charts, graphs, animations, infographics, or interactive dashboards. + You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into effective visualizations meet their specific data needs. + You will gather and organize HR-related data, including employee demographics, performance metrics, compensation, and benefits. + You will manage all aspects of the Human Resources Data Compass website including posts, infographics, dashboards, and embedded content. + You will ensure employees are well-equipped to adopt new business processes effectively by creating or providing training materials, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), and hands on training sessions. + You will assist in evaluating existing HR business intelligence efforts and business processes, identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for enhancement and incorporate data driven solutions. + You will serve as a point of contact for HR data related inquiries from internal stakeholders, aiding them in data interpretation to achieve desired goals. **Who you are:** + **Experienced** – You have three (3) years of experience using data visualization tools, analysis, reporting and/or building dashboards supporting programs and departments. + **Desired** – We hope you have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Intelligence, Data Science or Computer Science. + **Committed to Equity** – You will apply equity and exemplify shared values, behaviors, and practices in all aspects of the work. You have strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and multitask as necessary to meet competing deadlines. + **Efficient Communicator** – You possess excellent verbal and written communication and can communicate technical information effectively with all levels of management. + **Analytical** – You demonstrate analytical conclusions with easy-to-understand visualizations using tools such as Tableau. + **Technically skilled** – You have experience and knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Automate, PowerApps), Tableau or Excel. **What else you need to know:** + **Work Schedule** – Your normal work schedule will be Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week). Slightly more flexible start and end times are available in this role. + **Work Environment** - This work will take place in a hybrid/in-office setting at Management’s discretion. + **Washington State Residency Requirement** – Employees must establish a residence in Washington state within 30 days of their first day of employment and must maintain a residence in Washington State during their employment with the Port of Seattle.
