We are seeking a Human Resources Director to oversee and manager all human resources functions within our manufacturing site in Fairburn, GA. This role involves developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the organization’s goals, fostering a positive work culture, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and safety regulations. The HR Director will lead recruitment efforts, talent development, employee relations, performance management, and training initiatives to support operational efficiency and employee satisfaction. This position requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the manufacturing industry, and the ability to collaborate with senior management to drive organizational growth.
ResponsibilitiesLEADERSHIP
Strategic HR Planning:
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's manufacturing goals Collaborate with senior leadership to create workforce plans that meet the demands of production and business objectivesIdentify key HR initiatives that support productivity, efficiency, and employee engagement in the manufacturing environment.
Talent Acquisition and Retention:
Oversee recruitment efforts, ensuring that the organization attracts top talent for critical manufacturing roles.Develop and maintain a strong talent pipeline to meet staffing needs, especially for skilled labor and technical positions.Implement retention strategies, focusing on employee engagement, recognition, and career development opportunities to reduce turnover.
Employee Relations:
Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe work environment by addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting open communication.Act as a liaison between employees and management, ensuring that employee voices are heard and that concerns are addressed fairly and in a timely manner.Ensure compliance with labor laws, union negotiations (if applicable), and safety regulations while maintaining a harmonious workplace.
Performance Management:
Lead the performance management process, ensuring clear goal-setting, feedback, and evaluation methods for manufacturing employees.Provide guidance to managers and supervisors on effective performance coaching and corrective action.Analyze performance data to identify trends, address skill gaps, and optimize workforce productivity.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
Utilize HR metrics and analytics to make informed decisions about workforce planning, engagement, and retention strategies.Provide senior management with data-driven insights into HR performance and areas for improvement.Continuously assess and refine HR processes to enhance operational efficiency.
FRONTLINE OBSESSION
Lead, inspire, and mentor Frontline Leaders to understand the Mission of Porex, and connect the dots on how the Frontline Team makes the world safer, healthier, and more productive. Serves the Frontline Team and its leaders by regularly seeking their feedback in terms of process challenges and improvements and ensures that everyone has the tools and resources needed to deliver their goals.Regularly communicates in an open and transparent style with all Team Members to ensure understanding, as well as receive feedback from the Frontline.
