Human Resources Generalist 2
Overview We are seeking a full-time Human Resources Generalist 2 in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for providing coaching and counseling to managers and associates on moderately complex associate relations issues. Essential Functions Serve as HR point of contact for manager/director level Counsel associates and management on conflict resolution, moderately complex associate relations issues, performance management, compensation and other confidential Human Resources matters including delivering corrective action and termination decisions to associates as needed Participate in weekly associate relations meetings, provide updates to AR team, and track corrective action in assigned database Conduct basic or moderately complex thorough, effective and objective internal investigations and partner with legal as needed Deliver corrective action and termination decisions if applicable to associates Conduct exit interviews and participate in unemployment claim hearings Recommend methods for enhanced efficiency, productivity and delivery of achievement of HR tactical goals Develop knowledge in other HR business functions (benefits, HRIS, training, compensation, wellness, strategy) Ensure compliance with HR related legislation and policies with oversight from HR management and Legal Explore solutions presented by vendors/suppliers and may serve as a frontline liaison with vendors Mentor and/or provide training for less experienced team members (HRG 1, Coordinators) Serve as a point person for medium sized projects of moderate complexity and impact Gather and analyze data for business solutions, recommend and implement solutions Participate in annual associate handbook revision process Provide excellent customer service to employees and business partners Provide guidance to managers on the Performance Evaluation process including reading evaluations and assisting with salary information as needed At times, may be responsible for full cycle recruiting for select positions within the business Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related discipline AND a minimum of 3 years relevant experience OR a Master’s Degree in HR, Business or related discipline AND a minimum of 1 year relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule) Demonstrated understanding of HR related legislation, practices, processes, programs and technology Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills and effective public speaking ability Previous experience working with others to resolve problems or conflicts and demonstrated capacity to mentor or train others Must possess previous experience and commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding business and Human Resources matters Must be positive, detail/quality oriented, organized, team oriented and a driven problem solver, multi-tasker, and self-starter with the ability to prioritize and follow up in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment with demonstrated critical reasoning skills Flexibility to travel (up to 10% of time) Desired Qualifications AIRS or PHR certification Garmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
