DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary duties and responsibilities of the HR Generalist consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

Exemplifies the Berry Behaviors and Values at all times. Leads by example and exhibits professionalism in all areas when representing Berry inside and outside of the plant. Embodies commitment for a safe workplace, and acts as a role model on safety leadership, activities, and communication Responsible for processing payroll for plant hourly associates. Interviewing and onboarding personnel; ensures legal compliance and consistency Data entry—payroll management, time clock, and employee entries Filing – effectively maintain personnel, medical, training, and Form I-9s Staffing - temp to hire recruiting, works with approved agencies Effective use of AS 400 System and other applicable HR software - new hire set up, status changes Attendance tracking - monitor points, absence excuses, track warnings Tracks performance reviews for timely completion Training and development - works with HRM to assess needs Employee relations - assists HRM as needed New hire orientation - ensures benefits, policies, and employee needs are covered Benefit administration - provides employees with contact information, assists with benefit changes Unemployment claim administration - files timely replies, attends hearings as needed Maintains a positive working relationship with Group Leads and Supervisors Perform any other duties as established by the Human Resource Manager Responsibilities and Authority include assuring compliance with federal, state, government and/or any appropriate regulatory law or guidelines

 

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL, SKILL, & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
