Your mission as Human Resources Generalist is to be the frontline support for the daily HR operations, including timely and accurate payroll processing, recruitment, onboarding and training, maintaining employee records, employee relations, benefits assistance, KPI reporting, employee development, leading committees, and organizing company events.  This role serves as the first contact for the workforce.  You will ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws, address employee concerns, and foster a positive work environment.  Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality are essential for success in this role.

The main functions of the Human Resources Generalist include, but are not limited to, the following:

You will be responsible for payroll processing, both bi-weekly and semi-monthly, for multiple entities.Responsible for all payroll processingWork with department managers on timesheetsWork with Business Controller on required reportingResponsible for all payroll processing/Work with department managers on timesheetsRespond to employee inquiries related to pay, benefits, and policies and connect with Holding departmentWork with Holding and Division on required reporting and complianceAudit payroll records and correct errors as necessary
 You will be responsible for recruiting and onboarding.Develop recruitment plans based on business needsCreate intake forms, organize interviews, work closely with hiring managers to assist with candidate selection, pre-hire process, and full new employee onboardingDesign onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on HR policies and proceduresWork with hiring managers on new hire training programsRetain records for compliance
  You will assist with training and development for all employees.Maintain physical and digital employee files, including benefits and attendance recordsCreate employee engagement plans and initiate relevant activities Collaborate with external vendors, upper management, and employees to meet CSR standardsWork closely with HR Manager to meet departmental goals and objectives
  You will be the first-line HR contact for the workforce.​​​​​​​Serve as frontline initial contact for employee concernsInteract with hourly workforce regularly Administer and monitor hourly employee attendance policy and work with departmental managers to issue corrective actions as neededMonitor and administer quarterly reliability time for hourly workforce

What we expect of you? 

Qualifications:   

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent3+ years in Human Resources, preferably in Manufacturing1+ years processing payrollSHRM certification is ideal but not required
 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  

Knowledge of payroll processes, preferably with Dayforce, in the US and CanadaRecruiting experience, especially with LinkedIn recruiter and ATS systemBehavioral based interviewingSAP, including knowledge of Success FactorsExperience creating employee training programsExperience administering company policiesProficient with Microsoft OfficeExperience with using AI to interface in daily tasks preferred
