JOB DESCRIPTION:
Primary functions & responsibilities
· Acts as a primary contact for employee questions about HR matters.
· Facilitates completion of routine HR functions such as preparation and maintenance of employee files; ensuring data integrity in HR systems; and developing and maintaining position descriptions.
· Investigate and resolve employee relations issues, acting as an advocate and addressing root causes.
· Works with Site Manufacturing Leadership to evaluate and identify human resource needs within the manufacturing operations and develop an action plan to address such needs.
· Carries out personnel recruiting activities to ensure the company attracts the best talent.
· Develops, recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the handbook on policies and procedures.
· Conducts exit interviews and recommends action items and changes as applicable.
· Provides support and guidance to management and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances, such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
· Compile and analyze statistical reports concerning key HR metrics (i.e., recruitment and EEO, headcount, and turnover) and advise Human Resources Management on areas of concern.
· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· A Human Resources Management or Business-related degree is required. 3-5 years Human Resources experience is preferred OR an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge and skills.
· Excellent written, verbal, listening and interpersonal skills.
· Must have ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
· Analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
· Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Visio, and Outlook email and calendar capabilities.
· Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
· Maintains strict confidentiality and protects the privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
· Excellent time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
· Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership and staff
· Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs, develops solutions and/or options.
· Self-confident, self-motivated, polished professional
