FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

The entry level Human Resources Generalist plays a supporting role in managing various human resources tasks. This includes participating in various phases of the employee lifecycle, aiding in recruitment efforts, maintaining employee records, managing benefits and leave administration, as well as overseeing payroll and HR Information System (HRIS) administration. Additionally, this role involves providing administrative assistance to the Regional Director of Human Resources, the HR department, and other company employees as required.

Responsibilities

• Verify and maintain the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of data in HR Information System (HRIS), specifically Workday.

• Identify and resolve any issues with Workday, coordinating with the Information Systems (IS) department as necessary.
• Help ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures, as well as compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including the management of labor law postings and required reporting.
• Collaborate with management to review and update job descriptions to align with evolving business requirements.
• Aid in the recruitment process by identifying potential candidates, conducting preliminary screenings, organizing interviews, and performing reference checks.
• Oversee new employee orientations and onboarding procedures, ensuring all relevant information is updated in the company's records.
• Confirm that all employment-related prerequisites are fulfilled; generate and keep up with all necessary personnel documentation whether on paper, in the HRIS, or in electronic formats.
• Manage the I-9 verification process, ensuring that forms are completed accurately and timely, documentation is verified, and all files are maintained and audited as required.
• Act as a connector between employees and the benefits department to address any inquiries or issues related to employee benefits.

• Support the administration of leave policies, handling the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) paperwork, and managing cases related to disability.
• Provide assistance with the performance appraisal process, addressing employee relations matters, and processing terminations.
• Organize various appointments and events, including meetings, interviews, and company activities.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• The ideal candidate will exhibit strong business ethics with a commitment to confidentiality.
• They should possess outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, as well as excellent interpersonal and customer service capabilities.
• This position will require strong organizational skills.
• Strong time management skills are essential, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively in a high-speed setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint, is also required.
• A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience is also necessary.
• Experience with WorkDay is a plus.

Education

• A college degree preferred, ideally with a focus on human resources or a related discipline, or an equivalent experience.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $50,000.00-60,000.00 annually for Washington. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
