We are seeking a Human Resource Generalist who will be based in Sterling Heights, MI and will perform essential HR administrative functions, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, benefits administration, and maintaining personnel records. The position requires a professional who can handle sensitive information with confidentiality and execute tasks efficiently to support the organization's HR processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Licensing and Compliance: Prepare and manage state/city security board applications daily. Coordinate licensing activities, issue guard cards, and address procedural irregularities. Recruitment and Hiring: Assist in recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding processes. Prepare necessary documentation for personnel files and maintain applicant logs. EEO and Affirmative Action Reporting: Process affirmative action reports and track metrics for compliance. Advise management on potential adverse impacts in hiring and promotions. Employee Records Maintenance: Record and update associate data, including personal, tax, compensation, and performance-related details. Maintain confidential personnel files and ensure accurate documentation. Training and Development: Assist in maintaining officer training records. Payroll and Benefits Administration: Support payroll and benefits processes, including data reconciliation. Reporting and Data Analysis: Compile data and prepare reports from personnel records for authorized use. General HR Support: Provide information to authorized personnel and respond to personnel inquiries. Perform additional tasks as assigned to support office functions.Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 2 years of related HR experience or equivalent education/experience combination.Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in HR administrative processes and standard office procedures. Strong mathematical skills for computations and reconciliations. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines. Experience with HRIS systems and office productivity software. Strong interpersonal and customer service orientation. Problem-solving abilities and composure under pressure.Working Conditions:
Physical Demands: Frequent computer usage. Regular talking, hearing, and occasional walking, reaching, and lifting (up to 25 pounds). Visual acuity for close and distance vision. Mental Demands: Ability to maintain composure under pressure and handle sensitive information. Capability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.About the Role:

Depending on experience, Securitas will offer a starting salary of $22 to $24 hourly, in addition to a full benefit package that includes:
