Human Resources Generalist

MITER Brands, also known as Milgard and MI Windows & Doors, is one of the nation's largest suppliers of vinyl windows and patio doors, with plants nationwide. We are looking for a Human Resource Generalist for our Vinyl and Pultrusion manufacturing plant in Fife, WA, to provide HR support to 220 team members. This position will support the HR Manager in executing HR Programs, including payroll, attendance, team member relations, leadership coaching and development, worker's compensation, training facilitation, benefits administration, leave of absence administration, performance management, and staffing.

Shift: 5:30am - 2:30pm

Pay Range: $73k -  $91k, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for payroll processing and attendance management Maintains HRIS; UKG and team member files Responsible for the consistent application of Human Resources (HR) activities: employment, compensation, annual reviews, benefits, training, team member relations, workers compensation and LOAs. Responsible for benefit plan interpretation, communication, and enrollment Coordinates and communicates team member engagement programs Responds to team member inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs Facilitates new hire orientation and onboarding Conducts training for supervisors and managers on wide variety of topics to help increase their leadership effectiveness. Partners with supervisors and managers to assist with succession planning of hourly workforce Provides support to the location’s Safety program including managing Workers Compensation, injury prevention and injury response. Investigates team member complaints and assist and support supervisors and managers with addressing performance and misconduct issues. Contributes to efficient staffing and onboarding of the location to reduce overtime, achieve high level of operational efficiency and team member retention. Maintains confidentiality within HR Department

Minimum Qualifications:

You must have a minimum of four years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing operation. Must have a strong results orientation while being collaborative and customer focused. Four-year degree, preferably in HR, business, or related discipline. Broad knowledge of employment law (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, NLRA, state specific regulations, etc.) SPHR or PHR preferred.
