Our client, an established and innovative organization in San Diego, CA, is committed to fostering growth, development, and a culture of inclusivity for all employees. They are seeking a skilled Human Resources Generalist to join their team and contribute to their mission of building exceptional workplaces. The HR Generalist will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of human resources functions, including employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and policy implementation. This role involves working closely with employees at all levels to ensure the delivery of effective HR solutions that align with organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
+ Employee Support: Act as the first point of contact for HR-related questions, ensuring a positive employee experience.
+ Compliance Management: Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, updating policies as necessary.
+ Benefits Administration: Oversee benefit enrollments, changes, and inquiries while liaising with vendors and providers.
+ Recruitment: Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process, including screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating new hire orientation.
+ Employee Relations: Mediate disputes, handle grievances, and support a healthy and cooperative workplace.
+ HR Programs: Assist in implementing training programs, performance management, and employee development initiatives.
+ HR Policies: Ensure employee manuals, policies, and procedures are up-to-date and disseminated appropriately.
+ Data Management: Maintain and update employee records in the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Requirements
+ Proven experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role (3–5 years preferred).
+ Strong knowledge of HRIS systems and HR metrics, as well as federal, state, and local employment laws.
+ Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent is a plus.
+ Proficiency in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), HR analytics, and familiarity with tools like Workday, ADP, or other HR software is highly desired.
