Job Description
This well-established company is looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join their team. The primary responsibilities include helping employees enroll in benefits, answering benefits questions, setting up employees with their 401k program and educating them on it, and processing weekly payroll. With over 150 employees, not all of whom are onsite, it is crucial that this person is available to answer questions for all employees. Additional duties include updating job postings, ensuring compliance, planning company outings, and managing employee engagement.
ResponsibilitiesManage the onboarding process for new hires and ensure smooth offboarding for departing employees.Oversee open enrollment periods.Address employee questions regarding insurance.Manage monthly premiums and weekly claim funding.Ensure ACA compliance.Distribute required notices.Handle government filings.Act as the point of contact for the third-party administrator.Process stop loss claims.Manage medical leave.Send out employee announcements and reminders.Handle 401k enrollment processes and provide employee education on 401k plans.Manage contribution files and ensure compliance with regulations.Oversee payroll processing.Manage time and attendance records.Handle workers’ compensation claims.Update and maintain the employee handbook.Ensure safety policies are up to date.Plan and organize company outings.Assist with the hiring process.Foster positive employee relations and address any issues that arise.Essential SkillsProven experience in a similar HR role with a company of 150-200 employees.Strong knowledge of HR policies and procedures within insurance, employee benefits, and 401k.Ability to process payroll for 150-200 employees.Additional Skills & QualificationsIndustry experience in construction, engineering, field service, or similar related companies.Desire to grow in the role.Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with an hour for lunch. The role requires being onsite.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $43.00/hr.
