Description
The HR Generalist plays a pivotal role in supporting the human resources function within an organization by managing a wide range of HR responsibilities. These professionals are essential in ensuring compliance, fostering a positive corporate culture, and maintaining efficient HR operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
+ Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist with posting job openings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and conducting employee onboarding programs (Source: US Demand for Skilled Talent Q1 2025.pdf).
+ Employee Relations: Act as the first point of contact for employees with HR-related questions or concerns and mediate conflicts when necessary.
+ Policy Administration: Interpret and enforce company policies in alignment with federal, state, and local employment laws (Source: Learn 5 Ways to Overcome Hiring Challenges).
+ Payroll and Benefits: Coordinate payroll activities and manage employee benefit programs in collaboration with vendors and finance teams.
+ Training and Development: Conduct orientation sessions and support learning and development initiatives.
+ Performance Management: Assist managers with performance reviews, goal setting, and providing guidance on improvement plans.
+ Compliance: Maintain compliance with HR laws, regulations, and company policies, ensuring accurate documentation and record-keeping (Source: US Demand for Skilled Talent Q1 2025.pdf).
Requirements
Key Skills and Qualifications:
+ Interpersonal Communication: Strong ability to build trust and effective communication with employees across all levels.
+ Analytical Skills: Proficiency in handling data, reviewing metrics, and generating reports.
+ Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive employee and organizational information.
+ Organizational Skills: Handle multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
+ Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and related software.
Educational Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
+ Additional certifications, such as PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional), are a plus.
