Human Resources Generalist
Description Job Overview: The HR Generalist will manage and execute various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, and training. This role requires a hands-on approach to support the organization's HR needs while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Key Responsibilities: + Recruitment & Onboarding: + Coordinate the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, interviewing candidates, and managing job offers. + Ensure smooth onboarding of new employees, including orientation and required documentation. + Employee Relations: + Address employee concerns, conflicts, and disciplinary issues in a fair and consistent manner. + Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures. + Foster a positive organizational culture and promote employee engagement. + Performance Management: + Assist in the development and implementation of performance management processes, including appraisals, feedback, and goal setting. + Advise managers on performance improvement plans and employee development strategies. + Compensation & Benefits: + Administer employee benefits programs (health insurance, retirement plans, etc.). + Assist employees with benefits inquiries and help resolve issues. + Coordinate compensation analysis and salary adjustments as necessary. + Compliance & Reporting: + Ensure the company adheres to all labor laws and regulations, including OSHA, FMLA, FLSA, EEOC, etc. + Prepare and maintain HR-related reports and metrics, including turnover, absenteeism, and compliance documentation. + Handle required reporting for government agencies, such as EEO-1, OSHA logs, etc. + Training & Development: + Identify training needs and assist in the coordination of training programs for employees and management. + Promote professional development and continuous learning within the organization. + HR Systems & Records Management: + Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HRIS systems. + Manage and update employee files, benefits records, and performance documentation. Requirements Qualifications: + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. + Experience: 2 plus years of experience in HR or related field. + Knowledge/Skills: + In-depth knowledge of HR policies, practices, and legal compliance. + Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills. + Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS software. + Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: + SHRM-CP or PHR certification. + Experience in a specific industry (e.g., healthcare, manufacturing, tech) depending on the organization's needs.
